Overview
The Look at command can be used to examine an item in hand, on the ground, in sack, on counter, on altar, on table, or in shop more closely, providing more information about the item.
Note: If several items of the same type are present, you may examine individual items by specifying the item number or location; for example,
- Look at 2 gem in sack
The Look at command can also be used to examine another character more closely, in which case information such as alignment, nationality, gender, class, what kind of armor the character is wearing, and what the character is holding, are all provided.
The Look at command can also be used to examine an item possessed by another character.
The Look at command can also be used to examine a particular ring on one's hand.

- Look at <number> ring on <right or left>
- Look at <name>'s <item>
- Look at <name>
- Look at <item>
- Look at <number> <item>
- Look at <item> <location>
- Look at <number> <item> <location>
- Examples:
- Look at 4 ring on left
- Look at Ozzy's staff
- Look at Sam
- Look at longsword
- Look at 2 bracer
- Look at mace in shop
- Look at 3 gem on ground
Note: Some acceptable locations are "in shop", "on ground", "on counter", "on altar", "on table", "in sack"
