Overview
A player can have up to 8 different characters per account. Once a character is created it cannot be deleted, however players have the option of overwriting or renaming their characters. Characters which are not used for an extended period of time are subject to deletion.
Name
Gender
The player must choose a gender when creating a character. Gender is merely cosmetic. There is no difference in skills or capacities between the sexes.
Class
Character class is the most important decision during character creation.
Nationality
Nationality determines the look of the character, the starting skill levels, and the language that the character speaks.
Note: Every character speaks two languages, Common and the native language of their homeland.
There are eight choices of homeland or nationality: Illyria, Mu, Lemuria, Leng, Draznia, Hovath, Mnar and a kind of non-national Barbarian.
